The founders of AirBNB are designers for instance - not engineers - so I'd even say it's likely that the idea would come from someone other than an engineer. (Fact check someone?) I do think, however, that the real issue is execution. Most marketeers would need significant support in figuring out the hack that would eventually make this work. That is the real challenge with growth hacking: it's not enough to think of it, you have to hack it... and that requires hacking ;) <br /><br />Nice post.
